Rally’s Big Buford “Tease” + “Envy” [00:30]# A couple of commercials which in the U.S. has had the defenders of decency in advertising up in arms. In the first spot we see a man and a woman in a car. The woman implores, cajoles and flirts with the man to “show her his Big Buford.” He declines, she insists saying she just wants to take a little nibble, etc. The Big Buford, it turns out, is a kind of hamburger available at the Rally’s fast food chain. “What has he got that I ain’t?” a van driver asks his colleague referring to the driver of a convertible standing next to the van at the traffic lights. The lucky guy is surrounded by beautiful girls. “Probably a Big Buford,” his mate instructs him. And barely has he uttered this when we see the girls nibbling away at the hamburger of that name. “You like it big, don’t you?” the van driver addresses one of the girls in the other car. “It’s not the size, stupid,” she retorts. “It’s the taste that counts.”
