Robinsons “Lover” + “Spy” [00:40]# An unusual and thus intriguing concept in this campaign for the Robinsons range of fruit syrups which takes its lead from the product’s claim: “Different every time.” We see a scene between a man and a woman in some beach house. They are talking about somebody, the man asks the woman why she hasn’t told him before, the dialog remains open to interpretation. In the first spot, it seems that she is talking about a hitherto secret lover, an impression created when she hands the man her ring. The second spot shows the exact same scene with the same words exchanged. There are, however, some small but telling differences, from the female protagonist’s hairstyle to the passport which now takes the place of the ring as well as some ominous shots suggests that the conversations is being bugged. As a result we get the impression that they are talking about some spying mission the woman is on.
