Sagami Rubber: “Love Distance” [00:90]# This spot, forming part of a large-scale campaign for condom brand Sagami, features a real couple who, as a result of their long-distance relationship, found themselves in the following situation: they had to overcome the distance between themselves on foot. After talking on the phone, they rush out of their respective apartments and run towards each other – yet they are still some 1,000,000,000 mm (= 1,000 km) apart. Finally, one month later, they fall into each other’s arms, exhausted. The footage is real, being an edited version of what could be seen live on the internet and elsewhere. Super: “… and yet love needs distance. 0.2 mm. The world’s thinnest condom.”
