More Info
Requests for an artwork that meets specific criteria (“Give me sunshine, give me something pink …”) can be texted to the SFMOMA (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) and a matching picture will be sent by return. A service designed to help improve appreciation of art, and allowing the public to see more of the museum’s holdings than it is able to display.
Lulo Calio: “Any work that breaks the stipulated, and crosses barriers not allowed, commands my total attention. In this case, art is not taken seriously so that people know artworks which, in the traditional way, they would maybe never know. Van Gogh would rise from his grave if he knew that, by sending a message, anyone can know his great work of art. But to me, these ideas let me sleep peacefully, knowing that there is someone out there raising the bar of creativity higher and higher.”
