“After 1,855,023 points inspiration struck.” The headline of this poster for Sigma paints refers to one of the biggest art scandals in 1992. The Barnett Newman painting “Who´s afraid of red, yellow and blue?” which had been damaged by some madman with a knife was sent to be repaired by a renowned firm of restorers in New York. When it arrived back in Holland it became apparent that, instead of employing the pointillist technique originally used for the painting, the restorer had not only used a roller but also chosen a wrong shade of red.
