With everything seeming to revolve around Instagram these days, Burger
King Spain decided to let people make their own Whoppers through
Instagram Stories. It launched 9 stories, each including a fun poll that
invited users to pick their favorite toppings in order to “customize” their
Whopper. For a limited period only, the “Insta-Whopper” was available
all across Spain.
Damian Nunez: “I simply loved it. This piece is a beautiful example of the
appropriate use of a new media. The simplicity of the execution, relying
only on organic behavior, without requesting that people do anything other
than what they already do, is a fantastic example of brand interaction
and media use.”
