Subway Symphony

Wieden + Kennedy, New York

[5.15.002]

More Info

A new sound composition designed to emit a musical signal whenever someone passes the turnstiles on New York’s subway.

Daniel Wright: “LCD Sound System’s James Murphy seems to be everywhere these days. Most recently he’s teamed up with Heineken to move on one of his pet projects: to make New York’s subway turnstiles musical. At the moment they just beep each time someone goes through. The Subway Symphony project would see those beeps replaced with unique music created by commuters. Cool.”
