Suntory “Back In The Time Bar” [01:30]
Walking around on his 50th birthday, a regular Japanese businessman is suddenly caught in a time warp and finds himself in a bar in 1950. There he encounters his young father, who is finally granted his ultimate wish to have a drink with his son. Of course they toast with Suntory Old, a fifty-year-old whisky. A very melancholy commercial – like so many of Suntory’s recent spots – that works especially well in Japan because of the country’s often wistful attitude towards the past, and parents who did not have enough time to spend with their children.
