“Remote Control,” “Steps” + “Kabuki” [00:30]# A selection of three spots from the “The Art of Change” series of commercials for the latest Swatch collection, linked by the soundtrack, which is, appropriately, David Bowie’s “Changes.” In “remote Control,” an old couple sit in armchairs facing each other, each equipped with a remote control. They start clicking it, trying out new partners until they wind up with the same one they started out with. “Steps” shows a woman’s lower half descending a staircase. She goes through all kinds of fashion transformations, from vamp to hippie girl, and finally marches down the steps in her birthday suit. In “Kabuki,” an initially rather plain-looking Japanese Kabuki actor is shown going through his transformation into a bewitching geisha.
