“Change is good – sometimes,” an FVO
informs us. Surely the “sometimes” is
with regard to Tetley’s having come up
with a new fliptop box for their tea
bags. Not so good, as we can see, is the
kind of change wrought upon a poor
woman by some apparently insane hairdresser.
In tears, the poor thing sits
across from her girlfriend, who doesn’t
know where to look, hands over Kleenexes,
and offers lame comfort such as
“No one will notice,” or, on a slightly
disingenuous note, “You know, the
short side looks good.”
