More Info

What a fun and legal way to show the rainbow flag in Russia, where it is actually banned. Six activists from different countries were sent to Russia during the World Cup wearing their home country kits, which “accidentally” came together to form the rainbow flag. This project was documented on film and in pictures.

Rafael Segri & Kiko Mattoso: “A really smart idea that could only happen because this year’s World Cup was in Russia, one of the most homophobic countries on Earth where the rainbow flag is forbidden. It went viral during the World Cup, getting the media’s attention because of its really raw simplicity. A perfect solution when you have to spread a
message in a disguised way.”
