The Line Up Song

FP7 (Fortune Promoseven), Cairo

[4.17.183]

More Info

A commercial made ahead of the African Cup of Nations designed to
help Egyptians remember the names of the players in their national
team, which had not taken part in any competitions for six years. It
drives home the names in the team line-up by having them repeatedly
chanted – together with memorable player descriptions – to the tune
of “Old MacDonald Had A Farm.”

Hugo Veiga: “Learning through a song. That takes me back to schooldays,
when we learned the English ABC or math formulas. Smart, fun, and
efficient. I don’t know any Arabic but now I know all of the players in
their soccer team.”
