A mother at the stove, her son at the kitchen table. She’s preparing some soup for him he’s bragging how he can get along without her. This scene is repeated a couple of times, each time the mother and the son older yet none the wiser. Finally, we see a very old woman and her son, an elderly man who is still telling her of his plans to move out.
