Australian beer Tooheys remains a highly
coveted brand. Back in 2005, the “War Of
The Appliances” spot showed us kitchen
appliances slugging it out to get a sip of
the brew. In this commercial, the “Tall
Men” – 40 huge plastic dolls set in motion by the people living in this small suburb – stage a heist on a fully loaded
Tooheys truck. While the giants lay their
bodies across the truck, the locals grab
themselves the barrels of beer without
the driver even noticing. The party can
begin. Pay-off: “For the Love of Beer.”
