UNICEF “Cursing Parrots”
In this YouTube-style video for UNICEF, we see a bunch of parrots uttering some pretty foul – and threatening – language. What may initially appear to be amusing has a more serious message.
Parrots, do after all, pick up words up from their immediate surroundings, “parroting” what they hear humans say – and possibly also remembering the situation in which such cruel words were spoken. Pay-off: “When a parrot remember what happens in an abusive home, imagine a child.”
