The sick child suffers. (In his will, the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch donated almost 25,000 paintings, drawings and prints to the City of Oslo. He did not want his art to be hidden in some collector´s home but to be on public display for the generations to come. An Edvard Munch Museum was founded but today the building is in such a bad state of repair that the safety of the paintings can no longer be guaranteed. Some of the works have already been badly damaged by humidity and fluctuating temperatures. This campaign tries to alert the public to the fact that there are no official funds to pay for the restoration of either building or paintings. It puts the blame on the politicians´ ignorance and lethargy and, at the same time, tries to raise the 20 million kroner (about 3 million US dollars) needed to restore the Munch Museum. the words above the paintings – The sick child, Comfort and Edvard Munch – are the actual titles of the words displayed.)
