Somehow, I feel good because you are here. This campaign for
“Matsuya Ladies”, a Japanese departments strore popular mainly with
teenagers and the young set is in many ways characteristic of Japanese advertising. At the focus is not so much a concrete product benefit but the wish to create a rather vague benevolent mood with the consumer, which is transferred onto the brand. The means used to achieve this in this campaign are a combination of traditional Japanese ink drawing with modern computer
illustrations as well as the friendly sounding, if to our ears slightly sappy, headlines.
