Oil of Ulay Colour Collection “Fantastic to feel beautiful again,” “Pulse,” “Fragile Strata,” “The Flower” + “The conversation pieces” [00:30]# Five female conceptual artists (Tracy Emin, Leila Galloway, Pat Whiteread, A K Dolven and Nina Saunders) created these five commercials featuring the theme “The joy of make-up” by utilising different beauty products from Oil of Ulay’s Colour Collection. To the super “I don’t wear make-up on my face” we see the legs of a woman who applies tinted facial moisturiser to her legs before putting on sandals. “Pulse” is a conceptual piece showing a sculpture made of chrome shopping baskets onto which pressed paper balls, coloured red with nail varnish, come crashing down. The third commercial for duo eyeshadow plays with the image of layers, showing a woman’s face superimposed with various images. Lipstick traces on a pillow and an installation of chairs utilising various beauty products make up the last two commercials.
