Persil Liquid “Thanks to Sam” [00:30]# In this commercial, which advertises Hotpoint washing machines as well as Persil Liquid, we are introduced to super-tidy Eric and his grubby brother Sam. Since their clothes are washed together – much to Eric’s chagrin – a detergent is necessary that attracts dirt like a magnet. In the end of the commercial, and despite Eric’s attempts to stay away from his dirty little brother, Sam manages to spoil Eric’s day by spilling his syrupy drink on his brother’s immaculately white shirt.
