African Wildlife Foundation “Elephant Slaughter [01:00]# To the strains of Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk”, individual letters that spell the word ivory are used as a graphic over documentary footage of elephants being slaughtered by gunfire. There’s shot after shot of panic and terror as the animals are mown down by the poachers’ bullets. VO states that 70,000 elephants are slaughtered every year because of the world’s lust for ivory. And Americans buy one third of the world’s ivory jewelry. “Only elephants should wear ivory”.
