Verbatim, a leading producer of storage media and flash-memory products, takes a games-inspired approach to acquaint users with its products. The website invites users to create their own “Media Monster” – a virtual creature consisting of Verbatim USB sticks, SD cards and hard drives – and to give it a
name before sending it off to do battle with similar such creatures. In doing so, it becomes stronger and climbs up the rankings. Naturally, users can invite friends to join them on the site.
Daniele Fiandaca: “A fantastic example of how you can make a relatively boring product unbelievablye engaging. Beautifully crafted and, unlike most brandfunded games, extremely play-able and addictive.”
