VW Passat “Girl in New York” [01:00]# Holding her daddy’s hand, a little girl walks through Manhattan. We hear honking horns, wailing police sirens, then Billie Holiday’s “God Bless the Child” sets in. The girl grows more and more uneasy as she watches a madman screaming about the imminent end of the world, suspects being arrested by the police. The cityscape is superimposed on the girl’s face. At last her mother drives up in her VW Passat and the little girl is delivered form the urban nightmare. On the backseat of the Passat she quickly regains her good spirits. Super on cityscape: If only everything in life was as reliable as a Volkswagen.
