VW Bluemotion Polo “Paper” (00:30) #
In the second spot for Volkswagen, the
viewer is immersed in a hand-sketched
world of brightly coloured images. We
follow a car as it travels through a fairytale
forest, over a meadow drawn from
blobs of paint, up hill and down dale,
before it comes to a halt in front of a funfair.
Suddenly, the viewer sees things from
the perspective of the person who has
been telling the story while thumbing the
pages of a sketchpad to create a flipbook
movie effect. The message: driving the VW
Bluemotion Polo, as opposed to a conventional
compact, enables the user to
save the equivalent of 2,669 sheets of
paper.
