Design “Veranda” & “Street” [00:45]# A campaign for the very chicly packaged “Design” range for hair care products from Wella. In “Veranda”, an attractive young man, hair clicked back, is sitting in a rocking chair, languishing in the afternoon heat somewhere in the American South. He takes off one of his cowboy boots and lazily starts to polish it. Then cut to title: By the way, the only thing in this film that counts is my hair. Cut back to young man winking into the camera. The second spot treats us to the view of a young lady with a mass of dark, curly hair walking through a seemingly deserted town. We only see her from behind, and in the end there is a rolling title at the bottom of the screen: You can stare as long as you like, I won’t turn around. Then cut to range of “Design” products. In contrast to the rest of the films this is in color. VO: “For heads with brains we can only recommend “Design” from Wella. You either have it or you don’t.”
