Yet after they’ve broken the ice and got over the initial shock, a very special relationship seems to develop between the thus detained. They talk about personal things, former friends, and their grief at having lost them. A woman reads out a postcard she once got from what used to be her best girlfriend. Hallmark postcards might not be able to repair a broken friendship, but they certainly give a nudge in the right direction.
