Out of the dark undergrowth steps a
woman into the glare of spotlights. Her
face tear-stained, she tells of her desperate situation. She recently lost not
only her home but also her husband. In
doing so, she passes her hand across her
pregnant belly. Text insert: “This is not
her story. It is hers.” A female wombat
then appears in her place from out of the
bush. A voiceover appeals for viewers to
give money to save the future of Australia’s fauna.
