A talent for handling the bow is apparently insufficient to qualify for the dream profession of violinist, despite daily practice and unqualified support from the family. The little private performance of her talents – a homage to those shriller tones – is something even the loved ones are unable to bear for longer than 30 seconds. The fact that talents can be deployed elsewhere is, however, demonstrated by her new job as receptionist – one that leaves her lots of time to “hone” her talents.
